Deep in the Pamirs - known as the “Roof of the World” - we carved lines through towering peaks and silent valleys far from any map.

THE CONCEPT

This isn't your usual alpine holiday - this is Tajikistan.
Here, ancient mountain cultures meet the raw power of the Pamirs, and every descent feels like stepping into a myth. You’ll ride through a region that’s part of the legendary “Roof of the World,” where the silence is deep, the snow untouched, and the terrain wild.
We base ourselves in Safed Dara, the only lift-access resort in the country, and from there, launch into sidecountry sessions, ski touring, and high-altitude stashes - all while immersed in the untamed beauty of Central Asia.

THE TERRAIN

Expect a powerful mix of everything:

  • Wide alpine bowls
  • Steep couloirs
  • Remote ridgelines accessible by touring or lift

We’ll gain up to 1200 vertical meters per day, sometimes topping out close to 4000m. The snow? Dry, deep, and wild. The terrain? Real deal.
You’ll want your legs strong and your mind open.

OUR PLAYGROUND

The Pamir-Alay system is where East collides with elevation.
We ride at Safed Dara, a recently upgraded resort sitting at 2400m with access up to 3100m via gondola. Beyond the resort lines, the sidecountry is massive- ridges, bowls, and secret tree zones await.
Our tours take us into the Gissaro-Alay, the Hisar Range, and edges of the Tien Shan - each day shaped by conditions, safety, and your group’s hunger to explore.

ACCOMMODATION

We stay at Hotel Safed Dara - a cozy high-altitude base camp:

  • 2-3 person rooms
  • Altitude: 2400m
  • Hot meals and warm vibes
  • Some groups may stay in alpine “dacha” cabins (fully equipped, shared living spaces)

Final night is spent in Dushanbe, the capital -a perfect contrast to the mountain silence, with vibrant food, culture, and a glimpse into Tajik urban life.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: 8/10

The Pamirs aren’t your average playground — this is serious big-mountain territory. Riding between 3,000 and 4,000 meters, you’ll feel the altitude in your lungs and the cold, dry powder under your board. This mission demands more than just stoke — it calls for real backcountry experience, strong stamina, and full control in variable terrain.

Expect wide alpine faces, steep chutes, technical drops, and the kind of narrow couloirs that test both nerve and edge. It’s wild, remote, and unapologetically real — and that’s exactly why we ride here.

RIDE PROFILE

Freeride: 60%
Skitouring / Splitboarding: 40%

We start by acclimatizing - easing into the altitude and letting the mountains set the pace. The ascents are demanding, but every climb unlocks sweeping views and untouched lines of cold, dry powder.

SAFETY & GUIDES

> You’ll be led by local mountain guides who know these peaks like home
> Our expedition leader ensures smooth logistics and communication
> Avalanche safety gear (beacon, shovel, probe) is mandatory and non-negotiable, you must know how to use it - we recommend a pre-trip avalanche course
> An avalanche airbag backpack is strongly advised (available for rental - reservation required)

Standard travel insurance is included, but you’ll need a policy that covers off-piste and high-altitude backcountry.

FINAL NOTE

You won’t just ride Tajikistan - you’ll live it.

This was Tajikistan raw and real, where every ride felt like a first descent into the unknown.
