RIDGE OF SILK ROAD | UZBEKISTAN

$ 3,200.00 USD
$ 3,450.00 USD

Where the wind still whispers ancient secrets and the mountains rise like sentinels of time, the Tien Shan stands bold—a jagged spine slicing through Central Asia, guarding the forgotten roads of silk, snow, and spirit. This is not just a range—it's a realm. A high-altitude wilderness where nomads once roamed and where today, only the truly uncommon dare to ride. Here, every line carved into untouched snow becomes part of a deeper story—one of altitude, solitude, and pure, unfiltered freedom.

Details

This is the Ridge of the Silk Road. High in the mountains of Tien Shan where a new kind of journey begins.

THE CONCEPT

This is where freeride meets legend.
Uzbekistan blends Silk Road heritage with wide-open, alpine freedom. Our trip starts in Tashkent, but the real action is up in the Western Tien Shan - dry, untouched powder, massive vertical, and zero crowds.
We base ourselves in Chimgan, a laid-back mountain town in the heart of the mountains. From there, we move between multiple ski zones, touring and freeriding through wild terrain with views that stretch beyond time.

THE TERRAIN

The Western Tien Shan is a jackpot for freeriders.
Expect:

  • Big-mountain terrain ranging from 2000 to 3300m
  • Vertical drops (some runs up to 1000m!)
  • Tree zones, wide alpine bowls, steep chutes
  • Consistently dry and stable snowpack

We’ll ride three main areas - Amirsoy, Chimgan, and Beldersay- mixing lift-accessed freeride with daily touring missions.
And for those who want to go bigger: Uzbekistan’s heliski is one of the most legendary (and underrated) options in the game.

OUR PLAYGROUND
  • Amirsoy: The newest and most modern resort, complete with gondolas and perfectly spaced tree terrain
  • Chimgan: Old-school vibe, zero lift lines, big mountain feel. Our basecamp lives here
  • Beldersay: Home to Uzbekistan’s longest alpine run - tons of variety, deep potential for sidecountry adventures

We follow the best snow and safety conditions, working the terrain around the resorts and venturing into more remote touring zones when conditions align.

We stay at Hotel Archazor 3+★ in Chimgan - our cozy, pinewood base tucked right near the slopes:

  • Ski room
  • Daily meals: hearty breakfast
